This is the first of a series of posts. As prez of HHB Advertising, here’s my perspective on a great group of co-workers, all younger than me, I might add.
Kendra, Media Czar and Mensa Mind– Kendra has worn so many hats in this business, she’s like that character in the classic kids’ book, “Caps for Sale.” The reason for this is simple: she’s smarter than most anyone you know. Kendra’s one of those people with perfect recall (every minute detail) of, well, just about everything going back a decade or two… or three… or more. She’s a complete informational system, knowledgeable about such things as economics, accounting; current affairs (local, state, U.S., world); what meridian the international date line involves; the fastest route to some obscure landmark in some obscure county in Minneapolis; whether or not U.S. President Barack O’Bama needs a passport to travel; exactly how best to navigate the Panama Canal or Lake Juliette; how to shoot a squirrel from 50′ (she was/is a U.S. Marine), the latest technological advance; and the best homeopathic cure for colic (she has five children). Ask her anything. Ask her to DO anything. She even assembled — without assistance – the 6-foot table in our boardroom. I swear. Plus the eight chairs that go with it. Kendra’s a person who relates lovingly to numbers, befriends statistics on a daily basis, and warms to any challenge, agency-related or not. She’s the hardware to others’ software. The pragmatist vs. the PR spin doctor. The realist in the rainstorm. The no-nonsense, decisive, get-on-with-it(!) genius who has not one coy or untrustworthy bone in her body. The amount of valuable information in her head…scary! Her value to HHB…priceless.
